I did a post a few weeks back on Garbage Pail kids. Oddly and coincidentally enough, a few days after I did that post, I was at The Shanghai Tunnel in Old Town and some strange guy gave me this lighter as a promo item being handed out for his tattoo parlor (his website and name were printed on a sticker affixed to the back). Now, I haven’t thought about Garbage Pail kids for at least 10 years. Then, in the matter of 48 hours I get hit twice. I like how things work out like that sometimes.
One of the fundamental principles my Dad taught me as a kid. Often, not always but often, when I would leave the house he would say to me, “Don’t spend your fifty cents son.”

When I was 17 I broke my left tibia.

If you take a look at my left shin, you’ll noticed it’s bowed.
I rushed rehab and my boned healed crooked and all jacked up.
