“CEO’s, all hands on deck”

It’s been a wild year… for all of us.

Operating both as db clay’s CEO and Creative Director has allowed me to dip my unclipped paws into a wide variety of subject matter. Since founding db clay, I’ve involved myself in everything from capital acquisition strategy to strategic growth management to creative campaigning to content management/production to hand making product samples to even running a booth at Tradeshow. I’ve tackled a wide variety of jobs and it has required me to wear two different hats indeed… but I must say, I get an odd kick out of both head dresses.

Recently, my financial advisor BAW forwarded me a PowerPoint presentation he’d received (from a Venture Capital Firm) frankly outlining the game of raising money in today’s economic time. Below is a copy of said presentation. If you are an entrepreneur, if you want to start your own company, if you already have your company, if you work in retail, if you work for a firm/fund, if you want to know what’s going on in this world, etc then I definitely encourage you to dissect the content below, and, I encourage you to keep the faith. Yes, things are going to be different in the future. Yes, these are troubling times. Yes, your nose will get bloody. But hell, is there a better way to exhaust your creative energies than to start/push/promote something or some vision you truly believe in?
